Research Funding Online — Part 1: Getting Started with COS Funding Opportunities

COS Funding Opportunities is a library database that describes current grants available to researchers. Workshop participants will set up an expertise profile and funding alert, and will learn strategies for searching the database. This workshop will focus on Foundation Directory Online Professional, a library database that can be used to identify potential funding sources, such as private foundations, corporations, and public charities. This workshop introduces the features of the RefWorks web-based citation management system and covers setting up a RefWorks account, exporting citations from research databases, and importing the citations to your RefWorks account. Getting the Most from the Web of Science

The Web of Science database allows users to see how often particular works and authors have been cited and provides access to general research in a number of disciplines.
